I thought that one of the major selling points for those "Energy Efficient" light bulbs is Longevity, so you pay a little bit more for the light bulb (10 times the price), and you are given the reassurance that it will last for the next 10 years.
And as per usual, and in life, reality does not pan out as planned, and I seem to be replacing those even more frequently than the older filament type (Average Life Expectancy. 6-8 Month).
The only question is this, who is benefiting & how much more in resources does it take to manufacture the new type of light bulb & is it worth it?...
