Whoah! We're going to.... London.

I need to go to London for a job, my Wife and Daughter want to come with me, so that they can shop, while I do the work, then we would meet up, have some food, and come back home together..

I really hate London, even more than I hate Liverpool, and I hate Liverpool a hell of a lot (I seem to have my car windows smashed and the contents robbed, each time I drive through the Capitol of Culture, I don't even need to get out of the car for that to happen, in essence, its a hole). And now, back to London, I hate it because, it's just too busy, too fast, too weird, too dirty, too snobby, to trashy, too common, too sleazy, too over crowded, too smelly, too expensive, too full of contradictions, and too whatever you can think of.

The people seem to know that you are an outsider and they treat you like "Shit". They have this "Superiority Complex", where they think that they are a cut above the rest, or God's chosen people. And the ones that don't, will try to con you with a BS story..

Now, back to the story. I thought that the best thing was to get the Train from Bolton to London, that will save Time, Money, the Planet, the Parking, and the Sanity (I usually take the Train to London, this is usually during the week, and I usually go on my own).


This time, I thought it would be cheaper to go by train again, 3 hours there and three hours back, and its all during an off peak period, so how expensive can it be (have a look below)...

Compare that to my average driving cost, at around £50.00 for the return journey, and then you will know why I will be taking the car this time... There is not much difference in journey times, and I can take a lot more stuff with me when driving (PC, Monitor & Printers, etc...), And with prices ranging from £165 to over £1000 (the Naked Harim and Concubine Class), I think the Planet will just have to suffer...

To improve Wireless reception, I decided to invest in some new Replacement Antennas - These are supposed to, make my life easier and, BETTER my reception.

Because I could not connect these to the router, I decided to connect them to my Wireless PCI card instead. They did not bloody work, and the benefits were fairly marginal (there is an improvement, but nothing to shout about).. My connection signal strength is still weak, regardless of which of the three I use. They would probably work better if I could connect them the Router, however, my Sky router does not have space for an external Antenna.

So the big 2 are going back on eBay - Used for 5 Minutes, with One Careful Owner - Honest... And the old adage rings true, it's not the size that matters, it's how you use it (and whether it works)..

Eid Mubarak!

I wasn't sure whether it was the Eid Today or not, reason being, 100% of my customers a Muslims and by pretending to care or know, it would give me some sort of an advantage. It really does not matter to me either way.

Today, I needed to go and see a customer, so I tried to know whether it was the Eid or not before going there. The best way, I thought, was to go to the Religion Side of Sky TV and check... And there it was, THE LIGHT, on Sky Channels 585 and 593, we have the man himself, the Prophet (not profit), the Reverend. Peter Popoff, selling his Snake Oil to the Gullible, oh  sorry, he was Giving away, Free Miracle Spring Water and Anointed Faith Tool to everybody. "Hallelujah"and demons out... I was going to be bad and order some of the Water, but I decided against it...

All the idiots are out of the woodwork, some are threatening to kill, while others are threatening to burn.  What a way to go.

Me personally, I don't like killing people or burning books (it's so last Century, reminiscent of Nazism on both sides). I don't think it really matters what anybody thinks or does, as long as they don't harm others. And if the man wants to go and burn the Quran, well then, he can go and do it (لكم دينكم ولي ديني).  It would not achieve or change anything, and the world will keep on turning. If nobody cares, and just leave him to it, then the whole thing will just blow into obscurity. By calling for his death and whatever, you are giving this nobody, a global platform, a voice and a hell of a lot of free publicity.

The best thing about the whole affair is, both sides are supposedly peace loving, preaching and practicing. What a lot of baloney. I think I will just turn my other butt cheek now..
