Police make CCTV appeal after Muslim woman racially abused on Tube

Police have issued a CCTV picture of a woman after a Muslim woman wearing a hijab was racially abused on the Tube.

The incident happened at around 4.15pm on March 10 when the victim was waiting to board a train on the eastbound Piccadilly line platform at King’s Cross station.

She felt someone push against her, turned around, and was racially abused by a woman.

The abuse continued on the train, leaving the victim “extremely upset”, say British Transport Police.

The woman was comforted by other passengers, until the train reached Caledonian Road, where she left and reported the matter.

PC Elspeth Cook said: “Everyone has the right to feel safe on their journey, and we work hard to ensure London Underground remains a pleasant and respectful environment.

“Thankfully this sort of unacceptable behaviour is rare, and we will do everything we can to identify the person responsible.

“I believe the woman in the image we are issuing today can help us with our investigation. Who is she?”

Anyone with information is asked to contact BTP on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference TSUB/B10 of 22/04/2015.

Information can also be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

And now for some choice comments by our resident racist herd..

So did the police in Luton d anything about the white non muslim girl who was abused in Luton I think not same laws different treatment

thunderspuds says...
WOW!!! The police are trying to track down a woman who called a muslim a few names ... yet they refuse to prosecute 100's of muslim men involved in the grooming and rape of white children for fear of upsetting the Asian community.

ONLY IN BRITAIN.
Now that was was one of the dumbest comments ever - What has this woman got to do with the events in Luton?
sallygreen139 says...
if you walk around looking like a bin liner what do you expect
It seems you would feel right at home in a 'bin liner' TRASH.......... S to? I must try to send my children there. Would this person be more worthy of respect in your eyes if she wore daisy dukes and a bra top?
jt1313 says...
The police badly need re-educating that we pay them to support and protect genuine British people here in BRITAIN and not to make life easier for the fikn foreigners!
coredee16 says...
Muslim, Christian, jew, white, black, brown, old, young, man, woman - whatever a person is there is no need for abuse.
Yes, the muslims don't stop - don't give them more power either.
Zanna says...
Gosh, we really have a bright bunch on here.

missmerrily says...
We mustn't stoop to the levels of ignorance that some radical muslims do, otherwise we are as bad and worse than they are. I thought the whole point of being proud to be British was based on our tolerance of others. Let's not descend to the level of some of our incomers.

powyskeck says...
How the hell do you get a hijab on your head in the first place, i thought they were for digging holes! Ow.
ianjdavenport says...
I am curious. What 'race' is this woman? Why does the report focus on the fact that she is a muslim when muslims are, in fact, not a race and a person of any race can be a muslim. Or are we, once again, seeing some non-informed reporter looking for a bit of sensationalism.

sjh2525 says...
I take it that the police have tangible PROOF that this actually happened. If not, they should drop it immediately. Otherwise all this race-card nonsense is going to get very silly.

Vivu Israelo says...
More bleating from Muslims. They do play the victim card so very well do they not?

Paulus2012 says...
Why are Police wasting time with this? The sooner Muslims get the message that the hijab is not wanted here anymore than their awful religion the better!

"What has this woman got to do with the abuse in Luton or Terrorism in Syria?"

Sadly this is the day-to-day reality for Muslims in the UK, where it's OK to be a racist asshole, as long as it's against Muslims, and all with the blessings of the government and right-wing media..

This is my life.....

This is a list of all the applications on my PC, (bar-one-or-two;) - And a list of all my browser favourites, bookmarks and short-cuts, (bar-one-or-two - scientific research sites;), and all of my YouTube subscriptions.

I haven't shared anything for ages - I've been too busy with work (I do work), the Google Notification bell, the Gaza bombardment, the Iraq ISIS crises, the new YouTube project with the talented RJ (a top secret for now), and everything else in the world, to care about anything else...

All I wanted is a snapshot and a glimpse into the madness, with a picture of my desktop AS-IS NOW!...  Enjoy (note the desktop folder icon within the desktop, that used to be my older desktop, that I've cleaned and added it to the previous desktop folder, which refers to another, and another, and another desktop within another desktop folder)....   Life is sooooooooooo bloody complicated....

George Carlin: - The Paradox

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints.

We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time.

We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgement, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.

We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years.

We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbour. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice.

We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.

These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Remember to spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

Remember, say a kind word to someone who looks up to you in awe, because that little person soon will grow up and leave your side.

Remember, to give a warm hug to the one next to you, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn't cost a cent.

Remember, to say, 'I love you' to your partner and your loved ones, but most of all mean it. A kiss and an embrace will mend hurt when it comes from deep inside of you.

Remember to hold hands and cherish the moment for someday that person will not be there again.
Give time to love, give time to speak! And give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

And always remember, life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by those moments that take our breath away.

The Uncomfortable Truth....

As the world moves to cities, so does art. And just as art can inspire political action and resistance, so too do the walls of the city become canvases for important street art messages. The graffiti and street art on this list is perfect for spreading messages about environmentalism and climate change to a wider audience.

This street art uses simple slogans and provocative images to spread important and inspiring ideas in ways that are easy to remember. Such art can inspire people to action or at least remind them about important issues that they may have forgotten.

Star Trek Renegades..

Good story, some good acting, some Classic Star stars & Trek personalities, rubbish CGI, but a valiant effort and very gripping nonetheless - With a BIGGER budget, I'm sure they can do much better.

I LOVED IT
and can't wait for another instalment.
